Making a town sound real

Let the land lead

The kind shapes the sound, so a River town sounds like a ford and a Coastal one like a harbour. Match the name to the water, road or hill that the place actually grew around.

Use the settlement form

Set the Settlement form to City for great seats, Town for market towns, Port for harbour towns, or Village for the small places that fill in the spaces between.

Refine, don't restart
